Zodiac Theatre Group return to the Hammond with their smash-hit musical, Sister Act.
Sister Act bursts onto the stage with electrifying original music by Tony and eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken (Newsies, Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop of Horrors). This feel-good sensation earned five Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical.
When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she’s whisked into protective custody at the last place anyone would expect: a convent! Disguised as a nun, Deloris butts heads with the strict rules and the no-nonsense Mother Superior. But her dazzling disco moves and soulful voice soon give the church choir—and the whole community—a spectacular new groove. Then her cover is blown, and her pursuers close in, setting the stage for a showdown between Deloris and the unstoppable power of sisterhood.
With powerhouse gospel music, outrageous choreography, and a heartwarming story, Sister Act is a joyous, high-energy ride that will leave audiences exhilarated.
